Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Instructor Course
de Souza Sponsorship: The de Souza Institute will sponsor any Ontario nursing educator working in pediatric oncology who delivers chemotherapy to attend the Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Program to be held October 13, 2010 in Minneapolis, MN. Sponsorship includes financial reimbursement for all travel, meal and program registration expenses. After completing the program, de Souza sponsored participants will be required to present the program to nurses in their own organization. Program Information: The Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Program is a 1-day course designed to teach participants how to provide other nurses with the knowledge base needed to safely care for children and adolescents receiving chemotherapy or biotherapy. Program participants will be able to teach both the theoretical knowledge and key principles needed to safely, competently, and consistently administer chemotherapy and biotherapy.
