The de Souza Institute encourages undergraduate nursing students to consider a career in oncology nursing. Through presentations and communication materials, the Institute is introducing nursing students to this special area of practice.

Ontario nursing students and recent graduates are eligible to take many of de Souza Institute's courses at no cost. See the listing below for courses available to nursing students and new graduates.
- Foundations in Oncology Nursing - A course teaching the essentials of oncology nursing knowledge. Any Ontario nursing student is eligible to take this course at no cost. It takes place online and is self-paced.
- eHealth Nursing & Oncology - Learn about using social media and online tools for research and gaining oncology nursing knowledge and skill. No cost. Takes place online
- Cancer Prevention in your practice: One day workshop or online course. Takes place throughout the year.
