Welcome to de Souza Institute’s new website!

It is a pleasure to introduce you to our new enhanced de Souza Institute website and eLearning centre. We have been busy offering courses and planning curriculum over the past three years and have routinely collected input from our nursing colleagues and stakeholders. We have taken that input into consideration as we develop our curriculum and eLearning systems. We hope that you will find our new website helpful in navigating your way through our programs.

Along with the unveiling of our new website, we are also excited to fully launch our de Souza Designation program. Achieving a de Souza Designation allows nurses working in any care setting to gain cancer care skills and knowledge and receive recognition at no cost. The Designation is for nurses working with oncology patients and their families at any point along the cancer journey - from prevention, or acute care, to end of life or survivorship. Regardless of where a nurse lives and practices, any nurse can aim to achieve a Designation relevant to their practice.  All of our courses now incorporate a credit system so you can keep track of your completions and work towards achieving your Designation’s requirements. With your help, healthcare agencies, academics and the public will come to recognize de Souza Nurses as providers of the best cancer care.
