Dr. Joy Richards - de Souza Institute's Newest Co-chair

In January, Dr. Joy Richards joined de Souza Institute as its newest Co-chair. Along with Co-chairs, Esther Green and Dr. Mary Gospodarowicz, Dr. Richards will provide leadership and strategic advice to the Institute.



Dr. Richards became the Vice President of Professional Affairs and Chief Nurse Executive at University Health Network (UHN) in January. She has a broad and diverse nursing career with extensive senior management and leadership experience, much of which gained in complex acute care and long-term healthcare environments. She has held progressive senior nursing management positions including Vice-President roles at Baycrest and The Scarborough Hospital. She has considerable experience in nursing education and nursing informatics and has presented and published her work nationally and internationally.
