Mentorship

How Can Mentorship Help Me?

The program will match you with a mentor to provide professional support and guidance based on your identified interests and needs:

  • If you are new to oncology, practicing in an environment where you don’t have oncology colleagues, or don’t have access to a formal mentorship program at work, a mentor can provide you with resources and advice to help you develop your skills and confidence.
  • If you are a new APN, a mentor can help you develop the skills and confidence to grow into your role as an oncology APN expert.
  • If you are a specialized nurse, a mentor can help you explore ways to enhance your practice and your career.
  • Even if you are an experienced APN or specialized nurse in oncology, a mentor can provide support to achieve your career development goals and to develop a broad range of skills and expertise relevant to your professional role such as research, evidence-based practice, leadership or change management.
