On April 2nd, 2013, CTV News London’s Talia Ricci covered the Oncology Nursing Day Celebration at The London Regional Cancer Program. The event was attended by the Hon. Deb Matthews, Dr. Mary Jane Esplen, Director of de Souza Institute, Neil Johnson, V.P. of South West Regional Cancer Program and Dr. Vanessa Burkoski, Chief Nursing Executive of LHSC.
The clip highlights the cancer care continuing education and training provided by de Souza Institute and profiles Fiona Barham: 3rd de Souza Designate.
On April 2nd, 2013, de Souza Institute celebrated Oncology Nursing Day by honoring London Health Sciences nurses with a plaque. The award was presented by the Hon. Deb Matthews, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to Dr. Vanessa Burkoski, Chief Nursing Executive, who accepted it on behalf of the nurses.

On March 30th, 2012,the University of Windsor announced today that it will be offering a graduate diploma in Advanced Practice Oncology/Palliative Nursing for students in September 2012 (pending approval by Quality Council). Contributing to course development and student support for the graduate level diploma de Souza Institute.

On December 1st, 2011, Dr. Mary Jane Esplen, Director for the de Souza Institute was interviewed by CHCH TV’s Lori De Angelis.
