The de Souza Institute has designed a standardized program in Chemotherapy and Biotherapy administration to support nurses building their knowledge and skills in these areas.
The program reflects competencies identified by a number of national and international bodies, and meets Cancer Care Ontario standards for chemotherapy delivery. Program curriculum was developed with feedback and guidance from oncology nursing experts from across Ontario. We have a number of courses to choose from, including courses for RNs delivering chemotherapy.
Ontario nurses may choose to participate in the following courses and programs:

Chemotherapy Program Objectives:
- To provide nurses in Ontario with a holistic, comprehensive and standardized chemotherapy and biotherapy education program
- To support patient safety efforts by integrating safety theory within all levels of the curriculum
- To support knowledge translation and application of the best evidence based practice in systemic therapy
- To integrate Cancer Care Ontario practice recommendations in a comprehensive curriculum
