Laura Rashleigh, RN, BScN, MScN (cand), CON(C),
Educator
Laura Rashleigh has been an oncology nurse for the past 10 years. Since receiving her oncology specialty certification she has practiced as a clinical educator, supporting oncology nurses in malignant hematology, medical and radiation oncology, short term surgical care and palliative care at the Princess Margaret Hospital. As a clinical educator, Laura focused on inter-professional person-centred care, oncology nursing professional development and excellence, and leadership for quality, safe practice environments. Her current research explores the phenomenon of grieving as experienced by oncology nurses, with the belief that this is an essential step in supporting nurses’ work with dying patients and bereaved families. Laura has completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at York University, and is awaiting her convocation in June 2010.
Diana Incekol, RN, BScN, CON(C),
Educator
Diana Incekol joined The Princess Margaret Hospital in 1997. Her oncology nursing experience includes malignant hematology, autologous bone marrow transplant, and systemic therapy. As clinical educator for the systemic therapy and apheresis areas, Diana acts as a resource, mentor and consultant in nursing education and professional development.
Her interests include education, chemotherapy and biotherapy, vascular access, and the use of human factor principles to improve staff and patients' safety.
Diana is a certified Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy trainer, and an active member-at-large of the Toronto Chapter of Oncology Nursing (TCON). Currently she has been seconded on a part-time basis to the de Souza Institute to co-lead and teach the provincial standardized chemotherapy and biotherapy courses.
Linda Robb Blenderman RN, BNSc., MSc., CON(C),
Educator
Linda's oncology nursing experience includes roles as: Oncology Nursing Consultant (CE Regional Cancer Program); Regional and Integrated Program Clinical Practice Leader, Oncology; Professional Practice Leader/Systemic Therapy Coordinator, CCAC Case Manager (CCSEO).
Linda is interested in transformational leadership and project management that combines mentoring and coaching. She believes in a personal touch, sharing ideas, consensus building, trust and respect.
