Participants in this course must have previously completed the Sexual Health and Cancer Part 1 course before being eligible to take this course.
About: The purpose of this course is to assist health professionals in cancer care to integrate sexual health care in practice. Sexual concerns are one of the most common problems encountered in cancer care settings, yet they are the least likely to be discussed.
Course Weight: 0.5 credits under Therapeutic and Supportive Relationships and Patient Teaching and Coaching. This credit can only count towards satisfying ONE of these two course categories. It cannot be counted towards both.
Objectives:
Eligibility: Must have completed IPODE Sexual Health and Cancer Part 1. This course is offered at no coast to any nurse in Ontario who cares for cancer patients or works in cancer prevention. However, a $550 deposit cheque is required to enroll in the course and will be returned upon course completion
