Engagement with e-Mentorship Programs (up to 1.0 credits)

Those that take programs through our partner, the Oncology Nursing e-Mentorship Program, can obtain up to 1.0 credits under the Developing Professional Practice and Leadership course category. Learners cannot achieve more than 1.0 credits combined


Online or in-person Career Development Workshop (0.25 credits):

This course can be taken online or at an in-person session at various locations throughout Ontario. The workshop assists nurses to take control of and shape their careers. This workshop helps:

  • Review your career to date
  • Learn strategies to assist you in making future career decisions
  • Develop your career plan


Mentorship Training Workshop (0.25 credits):

The Mentorship Training Workshop is a one day session co-facilitated by Mary Wheeler and Michelle Cooper, who will help participants:

  • Learn about the program, resources and their individual roles and responsibilities
  • Understand basic concepts about mentoring and the phases of the relationship
  • Identify specific learning needs and their progress in their mentoring relationships
  • Review the online resources
  • Discuss elements of the model in more depth based on learning needs
  • Build a network for ongoing learning and support


Mentor and/or Mentee participation in the Oncology Nursing e-Mentorship Program (0.5 credits):

Participate as an active mentor or a mentee in the e-Mentorship program and you can earn 0.5 credits.

This is a formal relationship that requires a minimum of 12 hours of participation per month for a 6 month time period. The Program will help match you with a mentor or mentee in your area of interest.
