CNA Oncology Certification Study Group

To help nurses prepare for Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Oncology Certification, de Souza Institute offers an exam study group.

Each week, participants gather online across Ontario and connect via elearning to study. The sessions use a variety of approaches to help nurses learn and apply their knowledge to competency areas required for certification. These include:

• Recommended readings which correspond with the requried CNA oncology competencies.
• Multiple choice questions in each CNA competency area to help test your learning and provide practice in writing multiple choice questions
• Local cooperative in-person study groups where you can interact and study together led by volunteer participants with resources and case studies provided

Time Commitment: Participants should plant to spend 3-5 hours a week studying for the C.N.A. exam.

Credits: Participating in this study group does not count as a de Souza Designation course credit. It is however, a requirement to pass the CNA certification exam to achieve the Designation of de Souza Nurse or de Souza APN.

When: The study group begins in November 2011 and runs until April 2012. Registration for the study group will begin in September 2011 and closes in December 2011.
