The Canadian Cancer Society has a patient education guide: “Pain Relief: A Guide for People with Cancer”.  The guide summarizes causes of cancer pain, common treatments and other helpful information for people in an easy to read format available in multiple languages.

What are the recommendations for physical activity for patients with cancer?

There is good evidence that physical activity during cancer treatment improves physical functioning, enhances mood and quality of life. In fact, exercise can improve symptoms related to fatigue and anxiety. It is important that patients assess their capabilities in terms of the level of activity based on how they are feeling. Remaining active during treatment is achievable.
