There is good evidence that physical activity during cancer treatment improves physical functioning, enhances mood and quality of life. In fact, exercise can improve symptoms related to fatigue and anxiety. It is important that patients assess their capabilities in terms of the level of activity based on how they are feeling. Remaining active during treatment is achievable.
